Statistics and Agent Opinion Supports Styling Property for Sale

However it’s great to get the perspective of real estate agent’s who are also in the trenches of selling your property. In a recent article by the team at LJ Hooker Real Estate the results of a survey of top Real Estate Agents found that:
- ” 98% of agents believe that styling your property to sell can help achieve a higher sales price.
- 83% of our top agents believe styling can add over 2.5% to your property’s sale value. So if you had a property worth $600,000 that’s an additional $15,000…alot of money!
- 2% of our agents believe it helped influence a quicker sale and 88% believed it triggered multiple offers through private treaty and more bidders on auction day.”
It was interesting to compare the Real Estate Agent’s survey findings with the statistical data we keep. Whilst these Agent’s have found that styling property for sale can add approximately 2.5% to the sale price (which equates to about $15k on a $600k property), we are finding that the property we have styled add over $69k on their advertised price on average and compared to similar property in the same suburb they are actually getting on average $104k more than equivalent property.
