I would say this was one of the most meaningful projects of my career as a property stylist.
When we first visited the property the first impression was the brown colour scheme and heavy features. The vendor had tasteful, solid genuine timber furniture. However, the pieces didn’t complement the modern building and the light green walls. It was a very sizeable building but the existing heavy pieces of furniture didn’t promote the space.
Our vendor had this property was on the market for 2 months without a single offer. He had his new property settled already and was now paying two mortgages.
At our initial consultation, we suggested he moved all his furniture to his new house and we installed a complete package of our own. The style selection we went with was our Nordic Coastal range, which would present to a broader range of potential home buyers. He also changed to a successful agent from the local area. With David from Moonee Valley Real Estate, the property went on the market again with a brand new profile.
The property was sold before auction and our vendor was extremely happy with the result!
